Devices & Pairing

How It Connects

FeiEgg connects to hardware devices over Bluetooth 5.0. 来源:官网

Item 1 of the official App Store description reads, verbatim: "Connect to Bluetooth devices for control".

Why Bluetooth Instead of WiFi / Cloud

This is a technical choice driven by the product form, and it's worth explaining because it shapes the user experience:

ApproachProsConsBest for
BluetoothLow latency, no network dependency, good privacy, low powerRange-limited (typically within 10 m)Near-field real-time control ← FeiEgg's choice
WiFiLong rangeHigh power draw, router-dependent, complex setupFixed-location smart home
Cloud relayWorks across geographiesHigh latency, privacy risk, server-dependentRemote scenarios (paired with Bluetooth)

The key advantage of Bluetooth 5.0 is a clear jump in throughput and interference resistance over 4.x — for a real-time feature like audio-rhythm sync, low latency is a hard requirement.

How Remote Control Works

The official App Store description, item 3: "capable of remote control".

Bluetooth is inherently range-limited, so remote control necessarily involves a network relay. The official site does not disclose how it's implemented (whether it goes through the cloud, how it's encrypted, or what the latency looks like). 未公开/待核实

Which Devices Are Supported

Confirmed: FeiEgg distinguishes 8 device configurations by "motor count × heating", and each configuration maps to one device connection code. See the full reference in the Device Connection Code Reference. 来源:飞蛋官方教学视频第一集

Still undisclosed 未公开/待核实:

  • Whether any standard Bluetooth device works, or only partner manufacturers' devices
  • Whether the device side needs specific firmware flashed on it
  • Whether it uses standard GATT services or private characteristic UUIDs
  • The maximum number of devices that can be connected simultaneously

If you're a manufacturer looking to integrate, these are exactly the technical prerequisites you must nail down in your first conversation. See the Partner FAQ.

The overseas release is a separate app, with a different brand name, package name, legal entity, and version number. The data below was measured directly — do not download it from the wrong region's store. 来源:iTunes Lookup API + 官方下载页二维码实测 · 2026-09-20

The overseas and China versions are out of sync (1.3 vs 2.0.2), which shows the overseas branch releases on a different cadence. Overseas users should treat the version shown on Google Play / the App Store page as authoritative.

At 239.7 MB, the Android build is larger than the iOS build (194.7 MB). That's on the heavy side for a utility app on either platform, and it hurts install conversion on low-end phones. The built-in AI capabilities and content assets are likely the cause, but we don't have an official breakdown of what's in the package. 未公开/待核实

MyApp's "hardware companion control tool" tag is a useful third-party characterization — it shows the platform also classifies FeiEgg as a hardware companion tool, not as a content or social app.

Permissions

Bluetooth control apps typically need the following system permissions. The following is general guidance, not an official FeiEgg disclosure:

  • Bluetooth permission (to connect to devices)
  • Location permission (required by Android when scanning for Bluetooth devices)
  • Network permission (for AI chat and remote control)

For FeiEgg's actual permission list, refer to the Privacy Policy.

Privacy and Encryption

The official site claims end-to-end encryption protection and a strict privacy policy. 来源:官网
